The client agrees to be responsible for and to hold DGL harmless from any injury, loss, damage or destruction of articles entrusted for examination while in the possession of DGL,resulting from any cause whatsoever not caused by the proven negligence of DGL.
DGL shall not be liable for special or consequential damages for any error in or omission from any report or for its issuance or use even if advised of the possibility of such Damages. DGL reserves the right to refuse the issuance of a gemstone at any time.
DGL cannot be held responsible for any consequences resulting from incomplete or erroneous data on this report such as errors in dimensions and weight measurements, typing errors and errors in the determination of authenticity, country of origin and errors in the declaration of treatments.
Reports issued are not guarantees, valuations or appraisals, and DGL makes no representation or warranty regarding report issued. Reports, trademarks and service marks of DGL may not be reproduced in whole, or in part, without the prior written authorization of DGL.

The Enhancement of Rubies and sapphires are mentioned under comments as follows,

Symbol N-No indication of heat present

No altered inclusions are present within would indicate that heat treatment process has been applied.

Symbol H-Indication of Heat present

Enhancement by heat, in signification residues

Symbol H(Be)

Enhanced by heat and light elements such as beryllium. Clarity and /or color are enhanced by heat and diffusions of light element such as beryllium.

Symbol ND-Treatment not detectable

When there is not enough evidence to determine whether this gemstone has been heat treated or not.

Treatments in some gemstones such a Spinal, Amethyst, Citrine, Aquamarine, Topaz, Zircon, and Tourmaline cannot be detected.

Upon the client request, when possible the locality of the gemstone can be detected.
